It began as my midterm project, but may become a photo series to be continued. Which is your favorite, and which would you like to see next? (For anyone who’s curious, I got an A-!)

Pretty! You should submit them to http://thingsorganizedneatly.tumblr.com/.
Comment by Kaylen— March 30, 2011 #
They all look awesome! I love the contrast between all the colours! Is that homemade mozza in the last one? It looks super delicious!
Comment by Kelly— March 30, 2011 #
Yep! Still experimenting with uncheeses.
Comment by Hannah (BitterSweet)— March 30, 2011 #
Love it! What’s the one above Italy, though? I don’t recognize the flag.
Comment by Adam— March 30, 2011 #
Morocco! It was tricky to decide on flags that would be easily recognizable, and relatively simple to recreate in relevant food.
Comment by Hannah (BitterSweet)— March 30, 2011 #
These are great! I love the chili pepper one the most. It looks most natural. Are you still in school!?
Comment by Grace Dickinson— March 30, 2011 #
Yeah, I think I’m working on the 8-year plan here (at least…)
Comment by Hannah (BitterSweet)— March 30, 2011 #
How beautiful! You are so clever and talented, Hannah! Personally, I can’t decide on a favorite. Don’t feel bad about the 8 year plan – I was on the 10 year plan.:)
Comment by Christina @ http://greytveganlife.wordpress.com/— March 30, 2011 #
Beautiful! Such a creative idea. I like France and Italy! I would be interested in seeing what you could do with the American flag!
Comment by Lauren @ Healthy Food For Living— March 30, 2011 #
Your photography is outstanding, Hannah! Way to go.
Now I’m going to do something my father used to do to me when I’d come home with a 98% on an exam: Only an A-? Why not an A?! No, seriously, though, that’s fantastic, but you should have gotten an A ;) Congratulations, and thanks for sharing!
Comment by Christina— March 30, 2011 #
Wow! These are awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Comment by Amanda— March 30, 2011 #

Fantastic! I would love to have been a photo class with you… what a great series. I’m really drawn to those stray pieces of rice in the Japan photo. You should do India!!

Comment by Merut— March 30, 2011 #
They’re all beautiful, but if I have to pick a favorite, I’d say the candy one!
You’re so talented!

Love love all the picture and congratulation on A.
Comment by sensiblecooking— March 31, 2011 #
Congrats on the awesome grade! They’re all beautiful, but I like the composition best on the candy one and the chili peppers pic. Those two really caught my eye.
Comment by Alisa Fleming— March 31, 2011 #
The peppers are my favorite — the curves of the plate and the peppers, the straight lines on the cloth and the echoing reds and yellows.
Comment by Andrea— March 31, 2011 #
So cute and clever!
Comment by Brian @ A Thought For Food— April 1, 2011 #
Top photo – LOVE!
Comment by Callie {rawxy}— April 2, 2011 #
Ah! All these images look so yummy, as well as clear in detail. Well done on your grade!
Comment by Brittany— April 2, 2011 #
what a fantastic project – a fantastic grade well deserved.
I’d be intrigued to see what you would with a Union Jack of course :o)
Comment by Nip it in the bud— April 2, 2011 #
great job getting an A! well deserved. those are gorgeous. i love the last one :)
Comment by rachel— April 2, 2011 #
Italy looks the most delicious. I wish Japan’s sun could be bigger and redder, but I don’t think there’s a veggie that would be appropriate. Anyway, all the flags are very clever. Would you try Sweden?
Comment by FL Mom— April 3, 2011 #
I love the Japanese flag! But of course, all of them are amazing :) And I really want some of that mozzarella “cheese”!
Comment by Lauren Hayes— April 3, 2011 #
How brilliant! I love this!! Great idea :)
Comment by Sara— April 3, 2011 #
Definitely the pepper one!
Comment by Melomeals: Vegan for $3.33 a Day— April 3, 2011 #

Comment by stephchows— April 4, 2011 #
I love them. I love the unique textures and intense colors of the foods you’ve used. You’ve really captured the identiy of the countries. I’d love to see Canada or Mecixo or Switzerland. Any of them could be quite fun to experiment with.
Comment by Addey— April 5, 2011 #
