  1. Teehee! How clever! I enjoy the beads of tomato juice on the tomato’s skin, but of course the tomato, sweating as it is, isn’t impressed (pun not intended) about being poked and prodded. ;-)

  2. I like very much the fact of seeing how you take your pictures. It is like being just behing you, like a curious tiny tiny mouse on your shoulder.
It seems that besides having this large white screen and the two mirros, you still have pretty good exposition with light right ?

  3. So creative – thanks for sharing the components!

  4. Ha! This is very smart but I can’t help but feel bad for the tomato, oddly. This reminds me a little of Hellraiser… I love those little pin cushions though. My cat loves batting it around even more.

  5. Knock Knock, I’m with PETT….People for the Ethical Treatment of Tomatoes!

  6. Cute! :)

  7. Hahahah very clever im loving it!

  8. And….. this is why my photos suck so very, very much. :P

  9. I love this! Your interplay of words with food never fails to make me smile!

  10. Cool picture and even cooler concept! Because I am not a photographer, the complexity of that shot are somewhat lost on me. But not the creativity and cleverness of the concept. :)

  11. Thank you for showing your technique. I guess now I’m going to have to make an Amazon purchase! Very excited.

  12. Mirrors. hmm. wondering if that’s something I need to try!

  13. This is beautiful. I have so much trouble shooting with backlight, thanks for the tips!

  14. Thanks for the behind the scenes look.

  15. I learn something every time I visit here … thanks!

  16. Love it!

  17. Adorable! But, poor tomato :)

  18. Aaaah love it! So clever!

  19. Love your how to set up posts Hannah. I am heartened that you have the same camera as me, although I only have the 1.8 50mm lens.

  20. Hannah, I hope this reflector is good. I just ordered it on your recommendation :)

    • Hooray, I’m so glad you’re taking my suggestion, I just know you’ll love it! I only just started using mine a few months ago as per the requirements of a particular class I’m taking, and now I find myself pull it out almost every time I shoot anything!

      • Good. Even though I am a photographer by trade, I use only natural light when photographing people, no special props, but at home I had some white foam board, so I used it, but it is not nearly big enough, so I caved in when I saw the price. I will be using it for photographing food too ;).
